THURSDAY, APRIL 30TH 2020 starting at 5:30pm
Willagillespie families received an email about a parade on April 30th. Not attending school has been a tough transition. But the teachers are doing an AMAZING job in adapting. My daughter and I wanted to create a series of posters to hang up on the route and to pass out to students that didn't have signs, to show our solidarity with them. There is a collection of 33 messages. Please feel free to grab one after the parade is done if your kid wants to keep it or color it. Or they can show the message to their teacher on the next ZOOM class. Hopefully, these posters will inspire them to create more messages of hope and love during this time.
I hope everyone stays happy, healthy and safe.
Here is the original email from the school.
MATH AND SCIENCE PARADE!
We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow! Come out and celebrate Math and Science Night with us in a new way. While we can't go down every street we've done our best to pass by most of our families. So come down to the nearest location and cheer with us.* Here are the details:
- When: This Thursday, April 30th
- Time: 5:30pm - whenever we finish
- Where: Click here to see the parade route
- But what if we aren't going down your street? Join us at these locations to see the parade:
- Brewer Park on Brewer Rd
- Sheldon High School parking lot near Willakenzie Rd
- Bond Lane park
- Willagillespie School parking lot
*REMEMBER: Always practice safe social distancing. During the parade families should stay more than 6ft apart. Other safe practices include wearing a mask, avoiding touching your face, washing your hands well, staying home if you're sick and covering your cough/sneeze.
Thank you for doing that. Those signs are so great!
