4 SATURDAY CLASSES 11AM - 12:30PM / AGES 5-10 CLASS DATES: MARCH 7TH, 14TH, 21ST & 28TH SUPPLIES INCLUDED
Does your kid love to create? Could they spend all their time drawing and painting? This is a class that will foster all of their creative skills. The students will work on the foundation of drawing along with some advanced techniques when they are ready. They will also have access to materials such as pastels, colored, pencils, markers, watercolors, acrylics and clays. The medium chosen will depend on what is being taught that day. The goal is to get them comfortable with different mediums by learning the techniques.
These classes are offered as a series for each month. This gives your student(s) and the Instructor time to work together in creating art pieces they will enjoy hanging on their wall. Please register before class to ensure your space.

WheelHaus Arts - 160 E. Broadway, Eugene OR 97401 The class is located in the historic Quackenbush building at the lower level. There is metered parking on the streets. We also have five customer parking spaces behind the building that allow you 1 hour of free parking.
PICK-UP AND DROP OFF
When you arrive please sign your student(s) in. The instructor will be in the building by 10:45am. You are welcomed to stay in our guest lounge or come back for pick-up time at 12:30pm. When you arrive please ensure to sign your student(s) out.
We request that parents of kids ages 5 & 6 to stay in the waiting area unless your child has already taken classes with us and he or she is familiar with the instructor.
The students will start to do their creative warm-ups in the beginning of class. This allows them to loosen up and get ready to create. The instructor will then start the 30-minute daily demo. After the daily demo, the students will take what they have learned and have their free time to work out their piece of art further into the style they want. They also have the option to work on something new or an existing piece they want to finish. Clean-up begins around 15 minutes before class ends. This also gives us time to gather and talk about the work that has been created. This helps them build their art world vocabulary and become comfortable speaking with others.
WHAT TO WEAR?
We advise that your student(s) wears clothes that we call messy-fun clothes. We do have aprons but sometimes that isn't enough to prevent art mediums from getting on the clothes.
STORAGE OF ARTWORK
For students that commit to 3-4 classes each month, we will have a portfolio case where they can store their work. At the end of each month, the artwork is sent home unless there are specific pieces they want to keep at the studio to work on.
If a class is canceled due to weather or we have to cancel a class, you will be refunded that cost for the class or you can add it as a credit for future classes. You will be notified through email and/or text if a class is canceled. If you need to cancel a class for your student, please notify us as soon as possible.
