How amusing would it be to see a seahorse wielding a 19th Century Persian Battle Axe? Giving a grand presence to an incredibly small creature is what I wanted to create for this piece. The life of a seahorse is fascinating. Once I discovered they are poor swimmers who don’t travel far, I started thinking of what they would look like if they had to deal with things like protecting their terrain. My imagination brought me to this concept of the defender of the seas. Not only from predators but also from human pollution.
